When a Sheep feels malaise, she seeks out tannic-rich plants. A Gorilla may eat the bitter pith of the Acacia tree to overcome sickness. Even the little Bumblebee can improve her immunity through certain nectar alkaloids that kill off parasites. I’m not so sure about the Bumblebee, but I believe that most animals have an intuition about maintaining balanced. When they are thrown off balance, they seek out plants.
Humans are included in this group of intuitive animals. We just have to rekindle our connections to the body.
